FATHEADS:   

Fatheads are the most popular and universal of baitfish. Commonly used as forage for gamefish. Unlike Fatheads from other dealers, ours are free of sticklebacks.

ROSEY REDS:

  

Rosey Reds are a selectively-bred red/orange variant of the Fathead. Favorite of the ice fishermen and icefishing women.

 

SUCKER:

One of the "toughest" baitfish we handle. We have several sizes of suckers. Besides using them for muskies and northern pike, the Lite Musky size and Northern size are often referred to as "Decoys" and are sometimes used as decoys or as "cut-bait" for catfish.

Sucker sizes vary from 4" up to 20" Walleye, Northern & Lite, Heavy & Jumbo Musky!!

 

 

LEECHES:

 

We're proud of our large leeches in Wisconsin. Just like the rest of our live bait, our leeches are well known for their highest quality, consistent sizing, and superior availability from April to Sept.

Waxies: common names: wax worms, bee moth larvae   PANFISH LOVE WAXIES!

 

Our waxies come prepackaged for you.  Packed in wood shavings and a special honey and meal mixture blend .  The honey/meal mixture  is what they feed on.   

 

MUDS:

The Mud minnow can survive without aeration - it is able to "gulp" air, absorbing the oxygen through it's swim bladder. The Mud minnow can tolerate warmer water temperatures than other baitfish.

 

RED TAIL CHUB:

 

Very difficult baitfish to obtain, hence the most expensive. It won't tolerate low oxygen levels. It must have an aerator or you'll get a bunch of belly uppers. We only have these in the shop on occasion when they are prevalent in the creeks and we are able to trap them.  Although they are sensitive to the oxygen level ... this minnow is super tough in the tank and on the hook. Highly sought after.

NIGHTCRAWLER: Sold in bulk or pre-packaged.

 

The special artificial bedding formula is clean and neat, keeping the nightcrawlers healthy and the customers happy (Available with pre-packaged only).

 

CRAPPIE MIX:

Our crappie mix is predominately fatheads in the winter months; but in the summer it may include a toss in of pearl, emerald & redside daces.
